Many public figures have started taking side on who they will rally their support for in the coming general election. Earlier this week we saw Lugaflow rapper, Gravity Omutujju vowing to support Erias Lukwago as he seeks re-election for the third term in office as City Lord Mayor.
“Lukwago has been around and we have all witnessed how hands-on he is. He has always been on ground everytime something happens in Kampala. He was the first on the scene when the church was broken down, he has always been involved in market issues so I believe he’s the right person,” he said.
Now veteran media personality DJ Jacob Omutuuze and renown movie translator VJ Junior have also endorsed music legend, Jose Chameleone, real names Joseph Mayanja who vowed to send Lukwago into forced retirement in 2021. Jacob and Junior believe Chamili has an overwhelming support, credentials and vigor to become a successful Lord Mayor.
And with this, they advice the Baliwa hit star not to bow out even when National Unity Platform (NUP), a political party he subscribes to denies him a ticket to become it flag bearer on that said post.
“..am behind Chameleone and i already endorsed him as my Lord Mayor.Even if he is denied a ticket or not am behind him. Contest as independent if NUP denies him a card”, Jacob said in an interview with Spark TV.
