Police/military has again engaged in running battles and shooting of Bobi wine supporters in Kampala and other districts as Bobi wine remains in Police custody at Nalufenya.
This morning relentless Bobi wine diehards stormed Kisseka markets and started rioting again by burning car tyres in the streets and blocking the road.
However, Police didn’t take it lying low as it deployed heavily and started shooting live bullets and firing teargas.

The riots started after angry traders operating on Kyaggwe, Martin, Nakivubo, Namirembe, Mackay, Nasser, Nkurumah, and Agha Khan Roads demanded to know why some of the roads leading to their arcades and shops were cordoned off.
This led to an eruption of teargas and live bullets to disperse the crowds before clearing the roads.
Police then ordered for all shops to be shut, halting all normal business.

Patrick Onyango, Kampala metropolitan police spokesperson the riots begun from the outskirts of Kampala in Mulago, Kalerwe, Wandegeya, and Bwaise but by 11:30 am the rioters started attacking people on the streets and looting their property.
Nakasero, Kisekka and St Balikuddembe markets, Usafi, New taxi Parks, Namayiba Bus Terminal and Mengo Kisenyi. More Arcades have also been closed and people ordered to go back home as the army and police patrol the roads.

The former Quallicell Bus terminal, Lutunga Arcade, Nabukeera plaza, Arrow Complex, Shamba arcade, Ravens arcade, Zainabu Aziza Emporium, Hams Towers, Arua park plaza, and King Fahad Plaza have all been closed.
Police says the death toll from Wednesday’s protests against the arrest of Bobi Wine, has risen to seven.
Also, more than 40 people had also been injured in the protests.
