First Lady hopeful Barbie Itungo Kyagulanyi is doing whatever possible to see that her man and NUP presidential candidate, Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine is released from police custody.

Bobi was arrested by security operatives while holding a political rally in Luuka district. He was quickly bundled into a waiting police Van which drove at a break neck speed to Nalufenya police post.

The pop-star turned politician has now spent two days behind bars as he waits to be aligned before court.

In her first ever interview with BBC about the arrest of  her hubby, Barbie narrates how incumbent, Sevo has been holding rallies and processions since the start of the presidential campaign yet  Bobi and other opposition candidates are blocked or arrested. The stunning mother of four accuses police of brutality and double standards.

She further reports that attempts to check on Bobi has hit a dead end as officials in offices continue to bounce her and the lawyers back. Barbie notes that she is very worried and barely had sleep.

However contrary to what Barbie reported, Sevo has always held meetings of about 70-200 NRM leaders on district levels as per Electoral Commission guidelines. Only yellow bus passengers, Bebe Cool,  Big Eye and Catherine Kusasira has held processions.
