Musician Jose Chameleone is planning on starting his own television station that will be called Leone Television.
The ‘Kiggwa leero’ singer who is also contesting for Lord Mayoral seat for Kampala city, revealed this on his social media platform over the weekend.
His television will start airing soon on channel 524 on GoTV. Chameleone will become the first artiste to own a television in Uganda.
Leone Island Music Empire joins Diamond Platnumz on the list of musicians to own a media house in the Region.
Chamili has always had this dream for several years but had never really made a decision on.
You could argue it out that after witnessing the success of Wasafi TV and Wasafi FM, which are co-owned by Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz, Chameleone has also decided to set a foot forward towards achieving the dream.
“20 years down the road!! @leonetelevision Loading…… 4 all my youths Loading…….. 🇺🇬 #ALAALI OUR TELEVISON STATION LOADING!!!!!!! #SIGNAL >>> Channel 541
Gotv and free to air @dstv>>>>>>>>”, he posted on his Instagram.
This is good news for the entertainment fraternity as a whole because they will have hope that their content and opinions will now be aired without stressing too much.
