The National Unity Platform (NUP) Presidential flag bearer Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine has ignored other MP aspirants in Koboko district to support the National Resistance Movement -NRM’s Charles Ayume.
Kyagulanyi believes Charles Ayume is better suited for that post than all other opposition candidates lined up in the race.
“I have studied and watched Dr. Charles Ayume so much. I tell the people of Koboko to vote for him,” Bobi Wine said.
Kyagulanyi who was campaigning in Koboko on Tuesday evening added salt to Ayume’s haters when he asked the people of Koboko Municipality to vote for him in the 2021 general polls.
” I know he will not say anything good about me but wherever he is, tell him that I support him,” Bobi added
Ayume beat Minister for investment and Privatization Anite Evelyn to the post in highly contested NRM primaries in September.
Anite had accused Ayume of ferrying his supporters’ from South Sudan to beat her at the game.
She however later conceded defeat and resolved not to run against him as an independent.
Anite has been accused of campaigning for the Independent candidate, Charles Yakani against her party candidate
Bobi Wine is currently campaigning in West Nile.
