Defiant FDC presidential aspirant Patrick Amuriat Oboi has suffered a massive dose of pepper spray in his eyes after trying to campaign in the Tororo district against the Electoral Commission -EC directives.
The opposition presidential candidate was taken in a wheelchair to hospital after pepper spray applied to his face rendered him nearly blind.
He tried to put powder on his face to dissolve the pain in vain.

Tororo is among the 12 districts in which the EC banned candidates from campaigning as a result of surging COVID-19 cases.
However, a rebellious Amuriat decided to protest the EC orders and hold his campaigns in the district.
Traveling alongside his campaign team in his branded FDC van, Amuriat was stopped along Bugiri-Tirinyi road at Muwayo village by police that had already deployed there.

One cop manning the operation identified as Asimwe Abraham demanded that Amuriat turns back, a brief argument ensued after Amuriat lowered his car mirrors and denounced their orders.
In the process, the Police sprayed Pepper over his face, compelling his team members to rush him to First-line hospital in Bugiri for treatment.
