Police Football Club have sacked head coach, Abdallah Mubiru and entire coaching staff today after suffering humiliating 5-0 defeat at home by Onduparaka FC yesterday at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole. His assistant, John Luyinda and goalkeeping coach James Magala have also been told to leave.
Police FC started this season on a high and even led the league table for several days but after losing their pivotal striker, Hood Kaweesa to Zambian Premier League side, Buildcon and Gift Ali to Proline FC in January, the team started struggling for consistency. Since January, Police FC have played 13 games across all competitions winning just three, drawing twice and losing the rest.
Mubiru replaced Sam Timbe in December 2016 and has left the 2005 League champions 7th on the league table. Club chairman Asan Kasingye also decided to step down voluntarily in February 2018 after the 2-1 loss to UPDF FC.
