Three More Players

The Uganda Cranes is expected to have three more additions to camp before the upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers against Kenya and Mali respectively.

Uganda is preparing to take on Kenya in Nairobi and Mali at the St. Mary’s stadium Kitende in their first and second qualifiers in Group E.

US based left-back Mustapha Kizza, striker Derrick Nsimbambi and defender Isaac Muleme are the players who will be joining the team that is currently in Ethiopia.

The trio is expected to link-up with the rest of the squad in Kenya, days before their match against the Harambe Stars.

Uganda has 25 players currently in camp, including Tadeo Lwanga who has been ruled out of the game against Kenya through injury.

It is, however, not yet clear if there will be players who will be axed from the squad to accommodate those coming in.

After a camp in Jordan was cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions in the Asian country, Uganda left for Ethiopia on Wednesday, where they have been camping ever since.

They have so far played two build-up games in Addis Ababa, defeating Fasil Kenema 1-0 on Saturday before losing to Ethiopia 2-1 on Sunday.

Three More Players

Uganda will take on Kenya on the 2nd of September in Nairobi before hosting Mali at the St. Mary’s Stadium in Kitende, four days later.

The Cranes are attempting to reach the FIFA World Cup finals for the first time in history.
