The Makindye Grade One Magistrate’s Court has charged and remanded Francis Onebe and his former security guard Bonny Oriokot to Kitalya government prison.
Grade One Magistrate Basemera Sarah Ann charged the two accused with murder before confining them until September 30th, 2021.

Onebe appeared in court looking composed, clad in a nevi blue suit with a black shirt inside, he was in the company of his lawyers.
The Director of Public Prosecutions charged the duo with murder contrary to section 188 and 189 of the Penal Code Act.
Onebe’s wife Immaculate Mary Blessing Asio disappeared mysteriously nine months ago on January 6, 2021.

Onebe and Bony have both been in police custody at the Special Investigations Unit -SIU in Kireka for close to two weeks now, after a corpse resembling that of his wife was discovered in a septic tank at his Munyonyo residence.
A Woman’s body was discovered in a septic tank on September 9, 2021, shortly after the security guard Oriokot who also went missing the day after her alleged kidnap showed up.

Oriokot was discovered hiding in a pit latrine at Onebe’s Munyonyo residence at Kaggwa Rise, Lower Mawanga village, last week at midday prompting his arrest.
Police at the Criminal Investigations Directorate (CID) interrogated Oriokot, who insisted that her husband, knew what happened to her.

Detectives then raided the couple’s home where a decomposed body was retrieved from a septic tank.
Upon conducting a DNA test on the corpse using blood samples taken from Asio’s daughter identified as Ivy, results confirmed the body was a match to missing Immaculate Mary Blessing Asio.
Onebe had previously told police that his wife had been kidnapped by unknown people moving in a Toyota Hiace commonly known as Drone.
