Diana Muttu replaces Boaz
The 20th edition of the Corporate league is set to tip off on Sunday, 27th February 2022 at Kyambogo University sports grounds. It has been absent for a period of two years not until president Museveni fully opened up the economy from the Covid-19 Lockdown.
The chairman Board of Directors Mr. Dennis Mbidde Ssebuggwawo while addressing journalists at Hotel Africana said that this year’s edition will kick off with a massive vaccination campaign for member company employees and their family members who have not yet received the jab.
The former FUFA vice president also revealed that after undergoing an election process, there is a new executive headed by Diana Muttu from Nile Breweries who replaced Boaz Nabimanya of Hotel Africana.
Other members on the executive include MTN Uganda’s Julius Ikwete who will be the vice chairman, Vision Group’s Alex Balimwikungu will be incharge of Publicity, Coca Cola’s Ismael Lukooya heads all kinds of disciplinary matters whereas Red Cross’ Irene Nakasiita and NSSF’s Edison Katemba complete the executive as committee members.
The newly elected chairperson, Diana Muttu has thanked all the 40 member companies who are back and she hopes to see all the others coming back to take part in the league as it celebrates 20 years of existence.

Mbidde says that the corporate league of this edition is also targeting to upgrade St. Bernadette Health Centre 2 in Kitagwenda district, it was established in 2010 by Brother Deodati Aganyira who is the current headmaster of St. Mary’s College Kisubi with the purpose of supporting the community towards the common health challenges.
It should be rememberd thjat the Corporate League limited was formed on July 24th 2002, with the main objective of bringing communities together through sports, it has grown into a strong brand when it comes to organising sports activities that bring togrther corporatye people from various companies on a monthly basis.
