Pinky sounds identical to Sheebah and her style is the same as the Queen Karma’s, a sign that Jeff took his time to get the right person
Team No Sleep (TNS) new sensational signing Rahmah Pinky, has released her maiden 6-track Extended Play (EP) titled ‘SevenTeen’.
Forget the fact that Pinky somewhat sounds like her predecessor, Sheebah Karungi, SevenTeen EP which features songs like; Walwaawo, Onyuma Okulaba, Kukwagala, Laga Ku Manyi, Kyekyo and Superstar, is indeed impressive! I for one took time and listened to all the above named songs and honestly, I was blown away. Actually in Laga Ku Manyi, Pinky tactfully pokes Sheebah as the song fades.
This project, yet again, sheds light on Jeff Kiwa’s underrated musical ear. Jeff, with his vast experience, can sense which song will become an instant hit. Sheebah once branded him a perfectionist, who leaves no stone unturned while in the studio. Pinky’s ‘SevenTeen’ EP is evident as the 17-year-old up and coming singer ticks all the boxes.
Under the stewardship of famed artist manager Jeff Kiwa, Pinky sends out a subtle message that Ugandan music can still have a signature sound and still be urban.
‘SevenTeen EP’ features music written by Sama Sojah, Khalifa Aganaga, Dokta Brain, and Zigi Music.
The sound is absolutely superior considering the lineup of producers enlisted for the EP. Bushigntone, Nessim, Chemical Beatz, B.i.t, and Wani.
Jose Chameleone, Michael Ouma, HerbertSkillz, Anel Tunes, Diamond Oscar, among others contributed to this massive project as well.
