Oulanyah is under the close attention
The Deputy Speaker of Parliament Hon Anita Among has asked the public to pray for her boss Oulanyah Jacob, who is currently admitted at a hospital in Seattle, USA.
On Tuesday this week, Among left legislators and the public wondering when she adjourned the August house after 30 minutes in session to travel to the US.
Among was accompanied by senior colleagues in the government including Chief Justice Alfonse Owiny-Dollo, the Minister of Health Dr Jane Ruth Aceng and Democratic Party (DP) president Nobert Mao and a brother to the Speaker.
In a brief tweet released on Friday, Among wrote that her boss is responding well to treatment.
“Together with close friends; His Lordship Alphonse Owiny Dollo, Hon.Nobert Mao and Health Minister Jane Ruth Aceng; I have visited Rt Hon Speaker Jacob Oulanyah at his Hospital Bed in Seattle. He is receiving and responding to treatment under the close attention of his Doctors. Let us keep him in prayers for a speedy and complete recovery. I urge the public to respect his privacy and that of the family,”Among tweeted Friday afternoon.
The Democratic Party (DP)President Norbert Mao yesterday updated the public on the latest status of his ailing long time friend and Speaker of Parliament Rt .Hon. Jacob Oulanyah.
In his latest tweet, DP President Mao who is currently in the US to visit his long time buddy, claims he is ‘very ill ‘ and in need of prayers.
Mao has also asked the public to respect the Speaker’s privacy as he battles an unknown illness. He also reveals that the Deputy Speaker who jetted out of the Country with him and other comrades will officially update the nation on his State.
“I’m with the CJ, the D/Speaker, the Health Minister & the Speaker’s brother in Seattle where the Speaker is hospitalized. A man who is very ill deserves our prayers. Above all let’s respect his privacy and that of his family. The D/Speaker will soon issue a statement,” Mao stated
The Speaker was admitted at a hospital in Seattle USA on February 03, 2022 after specialists at Mulago National Referral Hospital referred him. Since his hospitalization, bloggers and social media users have to seized spreading propaganda about Oulanyah’s condition and what he suffers from.
Social media has been awash with unconfirmed rumours of his demise and sympathizes for his quick recovery.
