Patrick Kanyomozi joins NTV as Kabuura’s replacement
Earlier this month, Dansolo King, Andrew Kabuura fell out with NTV bosses over contract issues and he subsequently traced the exit door of the Serena-based station.
Kabuura, who had been the host of “NTV Pressbox”, a popular sports show, for the past fours years, called it quits and made a big-money-move to rivals, NBS TV.
Multiple sources revealed to us that the sports journo, who also plies his trade with Super Sport, demanded for salary increment but the bosses declined, forcing him to look elsewhere to cash in a fat salary. Kabuura, who loves them juicy, convinced one of his trusted sports journos, Mark Ssali, with whom he has been manning the show to join him.

A fortnight down the road, NTV has finally found Kabuura’s replacement in Lucky Mbabazi’s bean pecker, Patrick Kanyomozi. However, the show, which will start airing this week has rebranded to “NTV Sport Knights”, after Kabuura, through his lawyers, warned NTV against using his trademark “The Pressbox”.
NTV Sport Knights will be hosted by Patrick Kanyomozi, Ismael Dhakaba Kigongo, and Andrew Mwanguhya.
He took to Twitter and confirmed;
“Mondays,10pm. I will be hosting this brand new show #NTVSportKnights on @ntvuganda with the biggest sports analysts in the land and guests you don’t want to miss. Please join us tonight and the Mondays ahead. Also follow @sport_knights. See you at 10pm, will be glad to have you.”
