Singer King Saha has been criticized for chickening out of the Uganda Musicians Association(UMA) presidential debates that were held on Friday 20th and Saturday 21st of May 2022.

Despite Lord Bitemu and Cindy managing to make it to the debate, King Saha was a no-show something that angered the music fans. “You can’t be a leader if you can not show up for such an occasion…,” a fan tweeted.
King Saha explained that he had an earlier booked show which he could not cancel and therefore he had to miss.  “I was told about the debate but I had a show on the same day so I prioritized the show because I hate disappointing my fans on shows. At this moment, I need money to finance the elections so I had to look for the money first. And by the way, you can not tell me to cancel the show that I booked a long time ago.” King Saha said in an interview.

This did not go well with Tamale Mirundi who branded King Saha a barking dog that spends most of his time on social media barking and attacking Bebe Cool.

Mirundi said he already knew Saha was incapable when he started a fight with Bebe Cool who is not his opponent but failing to turn up for two debates was the last nail in the coffin.

It should be noted that King Saha wants the elections to be organized physically. To him, the polls will not be transparent if they are held online. “The truth is I am still on my issue of online elections. I am against it and it’s why I came to UMA today. If they do not organize physical elections where people cast votes or line up behind their candidates, it will not be fair,” he said.

UMA has given the singer a deaf ear as the build-up to the elections slated for June 6th is in high gear.
