Niger 2-1 Uganda Cranes
Niger earned a deserving 2-1 win over Uganda Cranes last night at Stade Général Seyni Kountché in Niamey city. Zakari Victorien Adje Adebayor scored two goals in each half to give the hosts a memorable victory. Vipers SC right-back, Nico Wakiro Wadada scored a late consolation after being set up by Albanian based striker Yunus Sentamu but couldn’t save Desabre’s men.
That was Cranes’ second consecutive loss in 3-nation mini tournament hosted by Niger following humiliating 1-0 defeat at the hands of Central African Republic on Saturday.
Danish based winger Moses Opondo, who features at top flight side Vendsyssel Football Club, earned his first cap for Uganda Cranes but his debut lasted for 80 minutes after suffering an injury.
