A bus driver whose name is yet to be established has gone into hiding after he caused an accident at Wabigalo, Wabinyonyi in Nakasongola on Sunday morning.
An eyewitness says that the bus, registration number UBF 618T belonging to Nile Star Bus Company was heading to Kampala from Arua when it knocked from behind a parked Fuso registration number UAK 475A and injured one of its occupants.

Traffic and Road Safety Directorate Spokesperson Faridah Nampiima confirmed the accident.
Nampiima says that the injured have been rushed to St. Franciscan Medical Centre – Kakoge.
According to Nampiima, the driver abandoned the bus shortly after the accident.
She, however, said further inquiries are on-going.
