Lira Woman Member of Parliament, Linda Auma, is officially married, traditionally.
This is as of Saturday 20th August 2022.
This follows an introduction ceremony in which the lawmaker introduced Peter Ojur to her parents in Alidi, Loro in Oyam district.
Auma told her parents, relatives and guests that it is only Ojur that will be in charge of her ‘Constituency’ until further notice.
Senior politicians, government officials and ministers attended the event.
Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Thomas Tayebwa was Chief Guest and confirmed his attendance thus: “I congratulate Hon. Auma Linda Agnes, Woman MP Lira District, upon introducing her husband Mr. Peter Ojur to her family in Alidi Village, Oyam District this afternoon.”
“Thank you Honourable colleagues who joined us in this celebration. I wish the couple a blissful marriage,” Tayebwa said.
