This year began with lots of drama in the music fraternity of Uganda. But if you sit down and think of what really brought the drama, you will be left with no choice but to laugh.
It all started from a list – yes a list – made by dancehall artist Bebe Cool, stating his top musicians for the year 2017. Bebe further claimed that whoever wasn’t on his list was just sleeping in 2017 and should up their game in 2018.
This of course did not go well with those that he didn’t put on the list, with all of the spitting fire. Radio and Weasel had no kind words for Bebe, who they like referring to as an old man who has failed to grow. He later added that the duo just hijacked the Gutamiiza collabo with the electric B2C trio and shouldn’t brag about it. He had no kind words for Eddy Kenzo, who in actual sense won various international accolades that year.
A Pass, one of the musicians who was missing on the list, admitted that he had a bad 2017 and was aiming at doing better this year, but Cindy Ssanyu wasn’t ready to take Bebe Cool’s list serious. The King Herself, who had a semi-flopped show that year, said she’s bigger than everyone on the list.
Bebe Cool on the other hand, just blasted all those who had issues with his list; saying that it is entirely his opinion, and that if they want, they should make theirs.
