How Gen Tumwine’s daughter, Cynthia’s wedding went down
Gen. Eli Tumwine (now deceased), was a man who loved his family so much. He did everything in his power to protect and fend for them.
They never lacked! Before meeting his death, the singing General, who fired the first shot in the bush liberation war which led Sevo into power in 1986, had managed to build a swanky home for his family.
Notably, the tactically fierce commando, who also previously served as security minister and Army Commander, had constructed one unique home in Rwemikoma, Kiruhura District.

Apparently, it is where Tumwine and his family have been cribbing since the day Sevo knifed him and sent him into retirement. Of course, it is the same swanky home which has hosted several family ceremonies, parties and functions, including his daughter, Cynthia Tumwine’s ‘kuhingira’ (Introduction ceremony), in 2019.
Cynthia, now a certified married woman, officially introduced her fiancé, Ronnie Kawamara, to her parents in a pompous and glamorous ceremony, which attracted the A-listers in government and army. By that time, Ronnie Kawamara was already a loaded chap, working with Jumia Uganda as their boss.
The elated Cynthia shared photos of her ‘Kuhingira’ with her Twitter followers in which she announced graduating from Miss to Mrs. and made sure to hide details about her husband and thanked God for seeing her through the marital milestone.
The stunning beauty had just clocked 30!
“Wow wow wow guys, thank you so much for all the love. 30 is looking good so far. I appreciate all of you who took the time to send me messages. God bless you!!!“ she tweeted.
Ronnie Kawamara and Cynthia later tied the knot on 21st December 2019, and their wedding was graced by then Prime Minister, Ruhakana Rugunda.
Besides Cynthia, Gen. Tumwine also has a son, David Aryatamba. David is also a married man, who walked his stunning fiancé, Sheilah Kakwanzi down the aisle in 2020.
His wedding ceremony was graced by Sevo.
The ex-security minister breathed his last today, Thursday, aged 68, at the Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi, Kenya, where he was airlifted two weeks ago.
By the time of writing, the State hadn’t yet officially communicated the burial arrangements.
