20 badly injured as buses collide in Ntungamo
Twenty people have sustained injuries after two buses collided in an accident at Katinda -bridge along the Ntungamo – Kabale road in Ntungamo district on Wednesday morning.
Traffic Police Spokesperson Faridah Nampiima says the accident involved a Volcano bus registration number RAD 795B and a Scania bus registration number RAC 704L belonging to Trinity bus company left 20 passengers injured on Wednesday, March 29, 2023.

She says it is alleged that motor vehicle reg number RAD 795B Hyundai bus which was moving from Ntungamo to Kabale collided with the Scania bus that was on the opposite side travelling from Kabale to Ntungamo at Katinda bridge.
Police are still investigating the exact cause of the accident.
“The territorial traffic police of Rwizi at Ntungamo Police station, have today 29th.March.2023, at about 0300/c registered a serious accident at Katinda bridge along the Ntungamo – Kabale road.
Nampiima says all the victims have been rushed to Itojo Hospital, Mbarara hospital & Doctor’s referral hospital – Rubaare for first aid treatment as inquiries continue.
