President Biden, 80, stumbles and falls on stage during graduation ceremony
The American president, Joe Biden 80, is trending on social media after a massive fall in Colorado at a graduation ceremony in US Air Force Academy on June 01s,t 2023.
In video clips that have since gone viral, Biden clad in a nevi blue suit and a cap is seen handing out the last Diploma to the 921st graduating cadet after standing for one and a half hours performing the same duty.
As the world’s most powerful man in the world tries to walk off stage, he trips and falls down to the ground. He is helped up by an Air Force official and two members of his Secret Service detail. Biden shows the crowd he is still fit as he walks alone to his seat without further help and later jogs to his motorcade.
He later tells reporters at the White House that evening : “I got sandbagged!”
White House communications director Ben LaBolt said Biden was fine. He also explains that there was a sandbag on stage while he was shaking hands.
“There was a sandbag on stage while he was shaking hands,” LaBolt wrote on Twitter. “He’s fine.”
Biden has announced a re run for presidency in 2024 and will be 82 years old if he succeeds in the second term as president.
However, a section of the public are concerned that in his advanced ags, it may be difficult for him to adequately serve.
The American President has previously stumbled from his bicycle and on the way up the Air Force One stairs.
