Jailed FDC’s Munyagwa joins NRM
Hysteria: Kajjansi Chief Magistrates Court last evening remanded former Kawempe South Member of Parliament, Mubarak Munyagwa & 4 others over charges of Criminal Trespass, Malicious Damage and Conspiracy to Commit a Felony.
Munyagwa’s trouble stems from his connivance with one Isa Sekitoleko and a falsified sale agreement showing he had purchased a kibanja of 3 acres located in Mutungo cell, Kajjansi Town Council yet Isa had no such interest.
Munyagwa went ahead to grade the land destroying crops on the land, portioned it into plots yet the land the land is titled in the names of Dechomai Asset Trust Number Three LCC, a registered company.
However, he was arrested Tuesday, charged to court and remanded until 12th June 2023.
A source at Luzira confirms receiving Munyagwa.
“We received him. He is now putting on yellow,” the source says.
Politically (in Uganda), yellow is known to be the NRM party color. So, technically, at least for a few days, Munyagwa, a member of the FDC, is an NRM member (until further notice).
