Y’all probably heard of Sencere herself! Remember her jam with music legend, Jose Chameleone titled ‘Muliro’, a collabo she secured during lock down when she was still under Pallaso’s wings.
Well, Sencere is back again with not a collabo this time around but rather an Afrobeat jam titled ‘Zalawo’, which she hopes to take her places. “Zalawo’ is a street Luganda word which can be loosely translated as berating or under looking someone.
In ‘Zalawo’, Sencere juggles lyrics (penned by the 2023 Zzina Awards Songwriter Of The Year, Dokta Brain) both in Luganda and English which will enable the song to hit downtown and uptown market. “You can say I gat my mind on your money, but I say you gat your eyes on my body,” Sencere jumps on the beat fine tuned by Artin Pro at Axtra Nation Studios.
‘Zalawo’ is not a mellow and calmer jam- expect it to make you hit the dance floor the moment the DJ plays it! It is a song for the young, wild and free chaps.
