The final game of the opening weekend in the 2023/24 Premier League season takes place on the 14th of August as Manchester United meet Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Wolverhampton Wanderers enjoyed a good preseason and in addition to the win over Rennes, there were victories against Vitoria Guimaraes and Porto.

Despite a good preseason, Wolverhampton Wanderers have been dealt a blow in the build up to this game as manager Julen Lopetegui left the club.
He has been replaced by former Bournemouth manager, Gary O’Neil. The new manager will have little time with his players ahead of this match.
