Uhuru in jail: MP Joel Ssenyonyi, Rubongoya arrested
Nakawa West Member of Parliament, Joel Ssenyonyi, and his part Secretary General, Lewis Rubongoya, have been arrested.
The arrest followed an earlier deployment at the National Unity Platform party headquarters in Kamwokya.
The NUP had organized Independence Day prayers in commemoration of their missing supporters.
However, Ssenyonyi and Rubonyoga were arrested for convening an unlawful assembly.
By press time, they were being held at Kira Road Police Station.
