Roke Telkom, a home-grown telecommunications solutions provider, has gifted over 400 children at Grace Villa Sanctuary for Girls in Kabale with scholastic materials, beddings, kitchen ware and sanitary needs, as part of the 2025 Roke Gives Back initiative.

Roke Gives Back is an annual corporate social responsibility initiative that Roke Telkom holds every October to extend support to the needy and vulnerable persons of society in Uganda.

While speaking to the residents and caretakers of the home, Timothy Mugyenyi the Head of Partnerships and Community Impact, Roke Telkom, appreciated the good and tremendous work being done for the girl children at Grace Villa Sanctuary and emphasized the importance of them giving back to the community as a company.

Mugyenyi said, “As Roke Telkom, we take pride and satisfaction in being able to give back to various people in different communities. That is why we are happy to be a part of such great work that you are doing here for these youngsters.”

“We appreciate the work that you do here for the girl child which greatly speaks into the impact that these future youngsters will have on the community in the times to come. Instilling positivity into them will surely lead them a long way,” he concluded.

Founded 11 years back, Grace Villa Sanctuary set its goal in empowering the girl child with nurture, a healthy mind through proper education; a healthy body through nutritious meals, health check-ups and exercise and instilling in them the ability to protect their bodies through self-defence skills. The organisation has been able to offer support to over 400 children over the years.

Appreciating the Roke Telkom team, Ruth Ndyabahika the Founder, Grace Villa Sanctuary welcomed the gifts and noted that they will bring smiles to the children and go a long way in easing their lives and making life for the home easier.

“With the different items that you have donated to us here today, I believe that they will change many of the children’s lives while putting smiles on their little faces. We are really happy and grateful for your kindness,” Ndyabahika said. Among the gifts provided by Roke Telkom were daily use essentials like sanitary towels, mattresses, scholastic and food items among others.
