Uganda’s Queen Angel Kobusinge made her country proud as she represented Uganda at the prestigious 2024 Cultural Queen World Pageant held in Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria, in celebration of the organization’s 5th anniversary.

The event, held from November 5th to 9th, saw delegates from over 8 countries come together under the theme Society Impact, competing in various categories ranging from cultural talent showcases to evening wear.

Angel, who was one of the top five finalists, brought home two prestigious awards from the competition: Cultural Queen World Miss Armity 2024 and Best in Evening Gown. Her journey was one of both grace and talent, as she delivered a moving spoken word performance—directed by Ladu Poetry House—that captured the hearts of judges and audiences alike.

The 25-year-old Queen’s international travel experience was facilitated by Uganda Airlines, which she proudly used for her travel to and from the event. Reflecting on her participation, Angel expressed immense gratitude for the opportunity to showcase Uganda’s rich cultural heritage on a global platform.

Angel’s journey to this international stage began in 2019 when she entered the modeling industry as a commercial model. Two years later, she joined the world of pageantry and earned her first title as Miss Tourism Tooro Heritage 2021. That same year, she went on to represent her region at the Miss Tourism Uganda national pageant, where she was crowned Miss Congeniality.

A graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, majoring in Human Resources, from Cavendish University Uganda, Angel continues to embody the spirit of excellence both in her professional career and her passion for culture and tourism. Beyond her pageantry journey, she has also volunteered with the Uganda Wildlife Authority, contributing to the country’s tourism and heritage sectors.

In her remarks, Angel emphasized how deeply proud she is to represent Uganda on the global stage and how the pageant provided her with a platform to further her advocacy for tourism, culture, and heritage. She also credited her success to her unwavering commitment to her studies, community, and the values she holds dear as a Ugandan woman.

As she celebrates her accomplishments, Angel remains dedicated to inspiring young women in Uganda and across the globe to embrace their cultures, pursue their passions, and strive for excellence.

With Uganda’s flag flying high at the 2024 Cultural Queen World Pageant, Queen Angel Kobusinge proves that dedication, cultural pride, and education can lead to global recognition and success.
