Comedy Store Uganda proprietor, Alex Muhangi, has spoken out about his disappointment after Bebe Cool failed to perform at the Comedy Store show last Wednesday.

Muhangi, who was emotional during a TikTok live, questioned how someone he has known for years and considers a close friend could let him down in such a manner.

“Comedy Store has given Bebe Cool more than UGX 100 million. He was booked for the show, and I paid him my money. Bebe Cool is a big artist, but in this situation, I was the client, and I will not lose my position as a client.”

He further criticized Bebe Cool for promoting his new song Motivation instead of honoring his commitment. “How do you talk about ‘Motivation’ and then reach the parking lot of a show with 800 people waiting for you, hosted by your own friend, and leave without performing?” he questioned.

Muhangi reiterated that his disappointment was not about the money but rather the principle of respect and professionalism. “It hurts me that rasta came to my show and did not perform. He is my boy, and I have known him for a long time. This is not about money; it’s because rasta wanted to promote his song Motivation.”

Despite his frustration, Muhangi did not indicate any plans to sever ties with Bebe Cool.
