Comedian Anne Kansiime says her relationship with singer Skylanta lost its spark after they had a son.

Speaking during an interview last Friday, Kansiime explained that their romantic connection waned as she prioritised her new motherhood duties creating a rift between them.

She noted that they resolved to partake in co-parenting for their relationship to thrive as parents of the newly born baby boy.

“The deep romantic connection we once had faded after I had my son because my focus shifted entirely to him (the son)”, she said.

“I changed, grew into a different person, and expected him to do the same. It was too much to ask. In the end, we chose to separate and embrace co-parenting.

Kansiime was also swift to add that despite the split, she had much longed to be a mother and is very proud of her son and considers him a miracle.

“My husband was not so much into us having a child so fast. However, I longed so much to be a mother and God blessed me with pregnancy and I take my child as a miracle,” she explained.

She further explained that her son started earning money straight from the womb as a brand ambassador for companies dealing in babies’ hygiene products like diapers.

While other parents may struggle with provisions like school fees, Kansiime noted that her son is now a brand ambassador of her school and doesn’t pay school fees.

Other than parenting and comedy, Kansiime says she enjoys designing and crafting.

“I’m a creative soul, I design much of my home decor and even craft my own earrings and clothes. I thrive on good vibes and always make sure to create a life that feels as comfortable and authentic as possible,” she added.

The pair became parents in 2023.
