We can exclusively reveal that goalkeeping coach Eddie Kaweesa was sacked at Vipers SC because he literary added ‘nothing new to the club custodians’.
According to inside sources, club owner Lawrence Mulindwa had trusted Kaweesa, a former student of St Mary’s Kitende, with the duty after sacking Stephen Billy Kigundu but he greatly disappointed him with mediocre results.
It is reported that the two highly rated goalies; Ismail Watenga and James Alitho had lost faith and punched holes in his working methods. He had also failed to mentor upcoming custodians from the school feeder team.
Under the newly appointed Mexican coach Javier Martinez Espinoza, Vipers administrators have poached for experienced goalkeeping coach Moses ‘Hugo Boss’ Oloya to put the department back in order.
Oloya, formerly with Onduparaka, KCCA and SCVU, will be influential in stopping the want-away duo of Alitho and Watenga from departing during this transfer window.
We have also learned that Oloya’s arrival marks the start of a big technical team shake up undergoing at Kitende that might also see Edward Golola miss out on the deputy coach cake.
