That Alfred Leku goal on 56 minutes against Masavu at Bugonga is still vivid in the memories of Express fans ahead of their first league match against URA this Tuesday at Wankulukuku.
It saved the Red Eagles from the jaws of relegation and left them with outstanding lessons – secure goals and points early in the season.

As Kefa Kisala leads out his new-look side against his former side URA, his faith will be vested in returning Tony Odur and Micheal Birungi for goals.
Express will hope the new blood that includes; Ronald Mutebi, Matthias Muwanga, Hamis Batenga, Charles Lubega, Charles Mutima Musoke, Arthur Kiggundu, Isaac Mutanga, Disan Galiwango, Nasir Mbabali, Joel Male, Ibrahim Kayiwa, Badiru Nsubuga, Lawrence Kigonya, Jonny Revita, Pius Mbidde, Rueben Kabuye and Eric Kambale will hit the ground running at home.

Odur has proven his poaching instincts at Vipers and KCCA and is very keen to reawaken his scoring intuition at a club he calls home. URA coach Sam Ssimbwa, fresh from hammering Paidha Black angels 2-0 in their opening match knows the hostile environment that awaits him at Wankulukuku where he was gaffer before.
Luckily for Kisala and Express, new club chairman Kiryowa Kiwanuka set the season target at an achievable height – top four finish – which the six-time league champions can meet with a strong start.
