Eddy Kenzo has two publicly known children: Maya and Aamal Musuuza. The first born of the two – the former – was born at the early stage of the golden boy’s fame; at the time when he had just blessed Ugandan Music lovers with Stamina, a mega hit, which doubled as his breakthrough single.
An affair with super Diva Rema, consequently led to the birth of their beautiful Aamal, after Eddy and the mother of his eldest child had parted ways. This meant that Rema had to be the new mother to Maya.
Contrary to the usual stories of stepmothers mistreating children, Rema has always been hailed for giving equal love and opportunities to both the girls, regardless of the sometimes tumultuous relationship with Mr. Musuuza. The songbird spoke out on her heart of gold.
“I don’t take her as that. Don’t say the word stepmother. She is my child.” Stressed Miss. Namakula, who hasn’t yet had a legal wedding with Kenzo.
Growing up a Muslim child, songstress Rema Namakula must have witnessed the values of treating children fairly. Such a heart of gold you got, Rema!
