Star Times Uganda together with Tecno and MTN Uganda have donated 50 computers to 5 Secondary schools in Mukono District.

The donation comes from the profits of the second edition of Heroes in Color Run, a charity event organized alongside partners to raise awareness about various problems.

The event (Heroes in Color Run)took place in September 2019 under the theme”Digitalizing the Future.”

The schools that received computers are Namilyango College, Kasawo Secondary school, Kasana Vocational School, Sir Apollo Kagawa Senior Secondary school and St.Charles Lwanga Senior Secondary School.

State Minister for Education and Sports Hon Charles Bakkabulinde graced the hand over of the desktops to Schools on behalf of Hon Dr.Muyingo.

Cleopatra Kohierwe the Public Relations Officer Startimes Uganda noted that they take pride in reaching out and giving back to the community especially the youths who are the future generation.

Sen Somdev the Marketing Manager MTN Uganda says over the years MTN has executed several ICT education-themed interventions which include among others, the support to KCCA funded Primary Schools, Public Libraries, ICT training in Vocational Institutes including St. Simon Peter located in Hoima, Amelo Technical Institute in Adjumani and St. Daniel Comboni in Moroto.
