Animated city Pastor Augustine Yiga is deep trouble!
Pastor Iga is accused of promoting the spread of the #COVID19 considered as direct attack on the people of the Republic of Uganda.
Police Saturday afternoon rounded up the Revival Church Kawala and bundled him onto a pickup to Old Kampala Police Station.
Pastor Yiga who said church is a business, claimed: “We don’t have any Coronavirus patient in Uganda, those 24 people are just suffering from flue and mild fever, but not COVID19. Smirking face The ministry of health should revise itself, and stop scaring Ugandans for nothing.”
The force have gone ahead to release a statement explaining Pastor Yiga’s arrest.
Police Metropolitan spokesman Patrick Onyango said: “The Uganda Police Force has arrested Pastor Augustine Iga of Revival Church Kawala, Rubaga Division in Kampala over false utterances and passing harmful propaganda relating to the current #COVID19) pandemic.”

Onyango revealed: “The action of Pastor Iga promotes the spread of the #COVID19 and can therefore be considered as a direct attack on the people of the Republic of Uganda. Therefore, the suspect, who is currently detained at Old Kampala Police Station.”
And that Pastor Yiga: “Will be interviewed to establish the motive behind the dangerous utterances. We appeal to the public to desist from making false or alarming utterances concerning #COVID19 and disregard information not from authorized government structures.”
President Yoweri Museveni released additional five people who have tested positive of the virus, making the total number of cases 23.
