Wabula Poliisi egamba nti, ” Our attention has been pulled to a misleading media posting destorting facts about the cause of death of our police officer, Inspector of Police Openyi David who passed on 4th June 2020, at st Francis Nsambya Hospital.
We wish to inform the general public that the officer died of natural illness and the exact cause of death was clearly indicated on the death certificate that was given and explained to the immediate family members.
The police condemns the misleading post that is trending on social media and further warn that such posts are not only immoral but also criminal.
We wish to convey our heart felt condolences to the family of comrade David Openy and pray that his soul rests in eternal peace. Rest in peace comrade David Openyi”.
